Corningware is made of borosilicate glass. It is very durable and can go from oven to freezer, but not directly. Always allow it to cool first. Corningware produced since the late 1950s is still used in kitchens around the world today.
Memory Fades and Mistakes Can Be Costly…
I have both been pleasantly surprised and obviously snookered before. “Research” can be expensive. What you purchase under the guise of being rare may be anything but. That was why I initially started my Corningware book—to prevent others from making the same mistakes I did.
You Plant The Seed…
My son was the first to tell me that my book should be featured as my Library on the website. The 300+ page technical book was simply too large to carry easily and would be better suited as a smaller checklist listing each individual item. If the same item was released later with a different mark, it could be documented on the same page; thus, sets would not need to be listed separately. This reduced the size perfectly to 100 pages.
Sharing is caring…
Has your Corningware Cornflower collection gotten too big? Have you found older pieces to replace the newer ones? Too much of anything can become a burden and get in the way. Getting rid of that excess is not only very freeing for you, but it can also bless others in the same way it once blessed you.
Perhaps you've been lucky enough to find a treasure chest of Corningware Cornflower at a great price. Keep the pieces you want for your collection and package the rest to be donated to your local thrift store. These items are excellent finds for everyone, from new homeowners to senior citizens. Pay it forward.
